Marcel Oberlaender will visit us next week. He will give a talk entitled “Towards Dissecting the Neurobiological Basis of Sensation and Perception” on Wednesday (April 29^th) in the afternoon at 17:00 in room 1.011, 2. Sammelbau Biologie (Worringerweg 3, 52074 Aachen).

Marcel is Associate Professor at the Center for Neurogenomics and Cognitive Research (CNCR), VU Amsterdam and group leader of the Max Planck Research Group ‘In Silico Brain Sciences’:

He has a strong background in cellular and network neuroscience modeling and his group is currently developing and advancing the In Silico Framework (ISF) software, which allows for adjustments of computational models, based on electrophysiological and morphological data, a topic, which I am sure is very relevant to many of us.
