Biology is one of the few MINT subjects with a balanced ratio of genders among students. However, in advanced career stages, women are still underrepresented in Science. The research training group „Multi Senses – Multi Scales“ proudly hosts a workshop addressing the topic of ‚Women in Science‘.
In this workshop, Dr. Beatriz Rico will give insights into her scientific career and discuss the obstacles of becoming a successful female scientist. We would like to welcome students of all genders to raise awareness for the gender bias and promote equality in natural sciences, introducing a prominent role model for successful Women in Science and providing a platform for discussions.
