We can look back on a prosperous year 2023, were some of our PhDs successfully graduated, various published papers and, of course, we started our second funding phase which started in April this year.
In 2023 we were again able to organize various LabVisits and guest lectures by speakers from Europe and the USA, our RTG2416 Career Day and of course our traditional RTG2416 Retreats.
In spring, we traveled to the Petersberg in Bonn (see photo) and in autumn it took us deep into the “Bergisches Land”. During thes retreats the invited, high-caliber guest speakers were able to give us exciting insights into their research, an in addition some of our doctoral students also took the opportunity to present their research progress. During these presentations, but of course also during the various intermediate discussions within the coffee breaks, at lunch or dinner, everyone got the chance to dive even deeper into the diverse research fields of our RTG. However, the The social component is also never neglected at our retreats, so that our group has grown closer together again, especially after the COVID-19 years, which has demanded a lot of strength from everyone

With this impressionas, the entire RTG2416 MultiSenses-MultiScales wishes everyone happy and relaxing holidays and a Happy New Year.
