In August, we hosted our first Women in Academia Day which turned out to be a great success. All speakers allowed us insight into some interesting statistics about women in academia, their individual career paths and sometimes shared very personal experiences. Thank you for this! It will surely be helpful for all students.
As a highlight within the Mercator Fellow visit from Prof. Greg Stuart (Australian National University) we invited several other outstanding researchers from the field of neuronal signalling, processing and sensation to the RTG2416 Symposium Cortical Sensations.
Guests are very welcome to join the talks by:
We are thrilled to welcome Prof. Greg Stuart from the Australian National University (ANU) between September 23rd and October 4th 2019. He’s is a world leading expert on dendritic integration and his contribution will be instrumental to the RTG’s understanding of the cellular mechanisms underlying multisensory integration. In particular Prof. Stuart will be an important enrichment to the RTG2416 projects centering on the cellular and systems level. With his recent work on
As part of the RTG 2416 MultiSenses-MultiScales Seminar Series, we would like to invite you to a talk given by Prof. Jeremy C. McIntyre, Ph.D. (Department of Neuroscience, University of Florida).
The seminar is entitled: Dissecting modulatory roles for neuronal ciliary signaling in olfaction and reward
As part of the RTG 2416 MultiSenses – MultiScales, Prof. Dr. Yoram Ben-Shaul (Department of Medical Neurobiology, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel) will give a MatLab workshop on “Spike Sorting – How to Analyze Neuronal Activity”.
The workshop will deal with the analysis of electrophysiological data. More precisely, Prof. Ben-Shaul will give insights into the topic of spike sorting. He will give an overview how to analyze extracellular recorded action
